A CD edition of the Batsumi album was released in Japan yesterday. This contains two additional tracks, Toi Toi and Moving Along, from the group's second album. I will have more details on availability soon.
will you ever re-release Batsumi's second album? Would've been a dream come true...another dream would be to have a re-release of Dollar Brand's tow remarkable south african albums: "underground in africa" and "natural rhythm". Peace, k
The second album may be considered at a later stage but it has two strong tracks and two weak tracks...probably best made available digitally. But there has been very strong interest in the first Batsumi LP so this may sway the decision.
The Abdullah Ibrahim catelogue has many gems but is tightly controlled by Abdullah. I have tried to get rights to this material but so far without success.
