Been such a long time gone

I've been away in South Africa to sprinkle my fathers ashes at "Ukhahlamba" (the Barrier of Spears)- the Drakenberg mountains of KwaZulu Natal. I'll be back when the time is right.

Abundant peace and love to you from your large family of appreciators here in Matsuliland.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. When my father died, the vagaries of international travel meant I missed being able to see him before his final journey by three hours. I hope you'll be able to take all the time you need.
Sala kahle, madoda.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I was on the other side of the world when my mum died - it makes a tough time even more difficult.
I hope your passion for music can help with the pain,
Keep strong,

Sorry to hear about your loss.

You might find some comfort in these bits of South African jazz:

I also have shows by Alan Skidmore's Ubizo and Louis Moholo's italian quintet up on my blog... to me, music is one of the best healers of wounds (time ain't, or not really...)
