Abdullah Ibrahim and friends walk the streets of Cape Town. Back in 1983, when the Ekaya (Home) LP was recorded, Ibrahim was based in New York but had played the year before in Botswana at the ANC-organised Culture and Resistance Festival where returning home to a liberated South Africa was foremost on many minds. Today, thanks to a fruitful journey to Haggle Vinyl in Essex Road you can enjoy this classic session.

1. Ekaya (7:40)
2. Sotho blue (5:40)
3. Ntyilo, Ntyilo (4:27)
4. Bra timing from Phomolong (5:07)
5. Ek sê ou Windhoek toe nou (8:03)
6. Cape Town (6:54).
Abdullah Ibrahim (Dollar Brand), piano; with Carlos Ward, alto saxophone, flute; Ricky Ford, tenor saxophone; Charles David, baritone saxophone; Dick Griffin, trombone; Cecil McBee, double bass; Ben Riley, drums. Recorded Nov. 17, 1983 at Van Gelder Studios, Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

Very kind of you.
Track 1 is the bomb for me, but they're all good -- thanks for your kind and gracious service!!
